///CHALLENGE
In a big agency network there are always those clients that need a little love. Jim Beam was just that client. At Schawk they re-signed Jim Beam and didn’t know exactly how to service the new scope. Our suggestion was to move it over to our shopper group, Anthem, where we could retool the team and improve the quality of the creative.
///SOLUTION
My first order of business was to have our industrial engineers do a full-process audit to determine where the pain points were within the team structure and workflows. There was a new scope but not necessarily a new structure to fulfill the scope.
After the process audit was complete, I worked to reorganize the team to have a heavier production presence to help bring the workload off of the design team. This improved the final output to the printers but also allowed for the experts to do their jobs.
With these adjustments, the team was able to focus on creative and production excellence and we were able to remain profitable with on-time delivery.
